PURPOSE:To collect the dust without lowering the temperature of blast furnace gas (BFG) too much and to sent to the expansion turbine, by introducing the solid particle to packed dust collecting part and collecting and separating charged dust after charging blast furnace gas passing through charged area. CONSTITUTION:BFG is introduced to the preduster 3 from the top of the blast furnace 1 and is sent to the charging apparatus 4, for example, after removing coarse dust more than 60mum. Electric charge is given to the dust by the apparatus 4 and the dust is sent to the packed layer 5 and then, is stuck on the surface of packed grain and is collected by diffusion and screening effect at the time when the charged dust is passed through the layer 5 and electric force. Then, BFG removed the dust and not dropped the temperature too much, is sent to the expansion turbine. Also, charging effect of the apparatus 4 is good in such a case of the product of electric field intensity and charging time is 2-3kV.sec./cm. Further, thickness of the packed layer is able to make thin by charging the dust and moreover, dust maintaining forc is strengthened. Accordingly, passing velocity of the gas is able to accelerate.
