Sepn. then takes place in an appts. generating a large water-air boundary surface zone, e.g. a vibrating table- or Humphrey's spiral concentrator. A (pre-)condensate can be obtd., depending on desired prod. quality. Reagent quantity needed for surface activation is smaller than reagent need in flotation. A coarse-grained material can be used in simple separating devices. Process can be used at any wt. ratio of gangue mixt. to useful fractions, giving high yields of concentrate.
