In the new method, only the cell nuclei are used for evaluation, for which purpose the TV pictures are stored in at least one digital memory and are cleaned from structures below a predetermined size by means of local operators, after which a smoothing and simultaneous localization of the Cell nuclei are carried out as image sections, after which the localized sections of the images are subjected to a border-finding process, whereupon characteristics are determined on the cell nuclei found by the border-finding process by measurements on the original image and on transformed images and / or on logical or arithmetic links of the transformed images .
