The mining system using a coal plough, uses a plough with an upper section (6) and a lower section (14) which can be extended by integral cylinders (9). Behind the bottom section is a face conveyor (23) and fllor support (18). The latter carries a telescopic cylinder (20) swinging about horizontal axis at the bottom and with a rounded top. This carries a roof support (35). - The roof support is connected by an assembly having a rail (12) parallel to the cutting face to the upper coal plough section allowing it to tilt. The lower section is connected by a lower assembly to the face conveyor and forming the axis of tilt.
