An air bubbler for aquaria or the like comprises an air supple pipe with a porous block mounted on it; this porous block is of open-cell plastics foam, esp. water-insol. polyvinyl alcohol with a passage, into which the end of the air supply pipe is inserted; this end is pref. barbed or has ribbed projections on it. Alternatively, instead of a barbed end to the pipe, the block is held on by means of an end plate with a stem passing right through the block and mating with the end of the pipe.
