Piece goods handling and stacking system - for items with centering bosses, positions items on stack in inclined position to lower layer using grab hooks

The handling and stacking system is for piece goods such as containers, cases, barrels, etc. having centering bosses fitting in matting recesses in those in the layer below. The items (3-5) to be placed on the stack on a pallet are brought into a position inclined to those (6) in the layer below. This can be done so that one side of the boss (8) fits against the inside of the recess (9) below in each case. When in the inclined position the items to be set down can be in a sawtooth pattern and each can be held in the inclined position by two grab hocks at different heights, engaging in the opening in it. The system gives more gentle handling of the items when stacking, with consequent reduction of damage.
