Personal measuring device for trousers - has tapes attached to vertical support and calculator to convert measurements

The apparatus allows a person to take their own measurement for choosing a pair of trousers. It consists of a vertical support (10), against which the person stands, and movable tapes to take the measurements. A calculator (34) converts the measurements into a form to determine which trousers give the best fit. Two tapes (19, 20), mounted on the support and able to move vertically, measure the waist and another pair or tapes (23, 24) measure the hips. The inside leg length is measured by a plate (15), mounted on the support and able to be moved independently. The outside leg is measured by handles (12) which also move the tapes.
