Alloy steel contains 0.13 - 0.18 wt.% C, 0.15 - 0.3 wt.% Si, 0.3 - 0.6 wt.% Mn, 1.6 - 2.5 wt.% Cr, 1.1 - 2.0 wt.% Ni, 0.5 - 0.7 wt.% Mo, 0.01 - 0.12 wt.% V, 0.01 - 0.12 wt.% Cu, 0.0005 to 0.0009 wt.% Sb, 0.0005 - 0.0009 wt.% Sn, 0.001 - 0.005 wt.% P, 0.001 - 0.005 wt.% As and balance of Fe, where a sum of (P + 5xAs) is controlled as a rate of 1 x 10-2 wt.%. The alloy steel is used for manufacturing the container which is subject to irradiation by neutrons in the cooling water type nuclear reactor.
