Oil-flooded screw compressor - has double-seated spring return pressure operated valve combining pressure relief and oil return functions

The combined pressure relief and oil return valve is intended for an oil-flooded screw compressor. It is a double-seated valve comprising two symmetrical housing halves each contg. a seat with closure member between air inlet and outlet and oil inlet and return connections. A plate between the halves guides the stem connecting two members. One member is spring-loaded to close whilst the other has a diaphragm permitting its closure against spring action by admitting pressure in a chamber below the diaphragm. The chamber may be formed by a recess in the plate.
