The slipstream turbine comprises several fixed baffles downstream of the propeller and auxiliary blades on a shaft extension, further down stream than the baffles. The latter are curved straight-edged panels in spiral configuration, secured along one straight edge to supports from the hull or fuselage. The supports run parallel to the shaft axis, along the slipstream periphery so that the baffles deflect the rotational flow inwards. The blades are spirally curved in the same sense as the baffles, also mounted along one straight edge. Between the two may be rotary bearings.
