Time switch unit for TV receiver - has clock unit switching off programmes for given duration to prevent children watching unsuitable material

The time switch unit consists of a housing with buttons for setting the time for which the receiver is to be switched off and a plug-type connection for connecting to the receiver. The current supply to the receiver is switched off for the duration of the time entered via the buttons. This time is displayed on the unit. The receiver's supply lead is connected to the mains supply via the time switch unit. The unit can be closed by a lockable cover preventing unathorised access. The unit allows certain t.v. programmes to be suppressed: e.g. programmes that are thought by parents to be unsuitable for children.
