Resistance measuring probe for determn. of the oxygen content of gases, esp. i.c. engine exhaust gases, has a semiconductor element as resistance element depending on the oxygen concn. and 2 catalytically active electrodes for measuring the resistance by applying a constant voltage. with an electrically insulating ceramic substrate, the first electrode, semiconductor oxide and second electrode being arranged is superimposed layers on the substrate. The probes can be mass produced easily.
