Oil-cooled transformer with oil radiators - enhances convective oil flow by means of high-pressure pump at inlets of radiators

The transformer is cooled by several oil-filled radiators (4) connected to the transformer chamber (1) by pipes for conveying oil from the transformer to the radiators (5) and vice versa (6). The rate of oil flow through the radiators is increased by a pump (8) with a relatively high drive pressure. The pump is in an additional oil circuit (7) whose inlet (9) is connected to the transformer chamber and whose outlet (10) is at the inlets of the pipes that convey warm oil from the chamber to the radiators.
