The ladder is fixed to the outside of the inflatable craft by means of a pin (6) locked by the split pin (9) and fitted to the reinforced pad (4) on the surface. The pin fits in the hole (7) on the ladder frame allowing it to swing. The ladder frame consists of a box strut (3) containing a telescopic arm (1) which can fall down to the stop (10) under its weight. The treads (2) are hinged so that they can be stowed in the box beam when the ladder is retracted.
