The heater has two piles of concrete storage blocks facing each other with an air gap between them. Electric heating elements run through each pile of blocks. The two piles are encased at their sides and top by insulating material. The air space between them is divided by partitions into a central passage and two side passages. A fan blows air up the central passage from whence it flows down the side passages. At the bottom of the heater it entrains cold air from outside and flows up between the insulating material and the outer casing to be discharged at the top.
