Heat-resistant glove comprises two leather gloves one inside the other, between which, at least on the outer surface of the inner glove, a thermally insular sheet is disposed, pref. an aluminised plastics film of the type known as "safety covering". Glove is more supple than an asbestos glove and easier to handle. Heat protection is more effective due to two thicknesses of leather, and heat-reflective insulation film. Glove has gauntlet fitting and is lined with a wadding material stuck against the film where it covers the hand.
