Scheme using sea for electricity generation - enables suitable geographic site to allow sea water to depth below sea floor to generate electricity

The scheme relates to the large scale conversion of still sea water to flowing water, and is used for electricity generation. A suitable sea board site with a rapid fall to a great depth of water must be located. There is a suitable site on the West Coast of France. A pipe with its inlet (A) at the lowest level of the tide is constructed. In order to give a greater flow the pipe to approximately 50m below the sea flow. The level of the outlet (D) is above the highest tide level, and if some of the energy is generated by the sea water flowing down the pipe is used to establish a steady outflow at the outlet (D) a continuous water flow is available, permitting twenty four hour operation. A capacity of 4800 MW is envisaged.
