Tubular foundation building pile - is driven into soil by rocking tube laterally, injecting water and pumping out loosened soil in suspension

The unit is used for driving a foundation pile (3,22) into the soil (1). The pile is formed by a tube, the first portion (3) of which is placed in a prepared shallow starting hole. Water is injected (via 20,21) into the tube (3) whilst this is rocked laterally to and fro (via actuator clamped 5 to the tube 3) to loosen the soil. A suction (15) line (9,6,7) lowered into the tube (3) removes the soil therefrom as a water suspension so that the tube gradually moves deeper into the ground. The tube (3,22) may be gradually built up out of shorter lengths welded together, whilst the suction line is equally lengthened via flange connections (10), a concrete foot being formed when the desired depth is reached followed by placing reinforcement in the tube and filling it with concrete.
