The invention relates to a procedure and its corresponding device for the control of consistent effect yarns, with slacks twisted by a hollow spindle. The basis of the invention is to suspend the supply of the material when the base or fastening yarn, unwinding from the hollow spindle, is broken. The issue is resolved by directly feeling the finished effect thread, the tension of which is altered by holding the slacks, formed by the yarn producing effect.
