4008-MBABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA method for adding reactive elements to moltencopper or copper base alloys is disclosed. This methodprevents unwanted reactions and oxidation by adding thereactive elements to the molten metal in the form of apowder mixture placed within tubing which is compatiblewith said molten metal. This filled tubing is sealedand drawn down, if desired, to an appropriate size forrapid melting within said molten metal and consequentrapid dissolution of the reactive elements throughoutthe molten metal.
