A vertically sliding stop rod on one side has elements acting in conjunction with counterpieces on the drawers. It is used in a central bolting mechanism for drawers set one above another in a cupboard, linked to a turning rod operated by a horizontal cylinder lock below the cover. - A socket is length-displaceably and non-rotatably mounted on the turning rod. This is sited between two bearing eyes in a plate carrying the lock penetrated by the rod. It bears a crank-pin, connected to the lock's transversely sliding cylinder via a guide-rod. This enables the lock to be mounted anywhere desired.
