The heating equipment is for a large-volume storage tank containing a heating medium. Above the combustion chamber (17) and immediately below the storage tank (19) is a heating tank (18) of smaller capacity, while below the latter is a heater grid (14,15,16) through which the medium flows, and connected to it and to the storage tank by pipes (38,40) to form a complete unit, fully communicating with the free atmosphere.S The grid can comprise an inlet manifold (14) in the front part of the combustion chamber and an outlet one (15) at the end, and connected by a number of heater tubes (16).
