The system may be used for exterior renovation of old buildings, or for new buildings with built-in windows. A module is provided for a window in a facade curtain-hung on a substructure of light metal rails. One part of this is a window case (4) assembled from light metal profiles, with fixing elements (17-20) for wall and substructure, adjustable for varying interval between these. The other part is a tubular frame (2), sliding in the case, with fixing elements (27-30) for the blind frame (31). The sidepiece, front and lintel piece of the case may have a peripheral flange for the rail (3) stem slots (10). This permits precise installation, regardless of tolerances in built-in elements, with no need for any later joint dismantling.
