Prodn. of combined or alternative fire extinguishing agent involves (a) producing an aerated foam, (b) producing a 'Halone' (I)(RTM) extinguishing foam emulsion, which is applied as foam spray jet by means of a combined air foam tube for full or spray jet available on the market and (c) applying pure (I) by means of (I) spray guns available on the market. The agent can be used against class A, B and C fires. Negative effects due to direct contact of (I) with an inert gas are avoided. The conventional soln. of water and synthetic foaming agent and (I) are stored in separate vessels and can be combined or discharged by compressed gas, the former directly and the latter indirectly, as in DE 3006519.
