Transfer station for pick=up of wheeled pallets by fork truck - laterally aligns pallets for correct pick=up, thus ensuring correct placing in rack

The transfer station is intended for placing wheeled containers or pallets (5,5',5'') in readiness for pick-up by a fork truck movable in the aisle (3,3') between storage racks, which subsequently places each container at its designated position in the storage rack. Each transfer station has a fixed rear stop (7) for a container and two lateral stops (e.g. 8,9; 9,10;, 10,11;) whose spacing equals the width of a container. At least the lateral stop nearer one end (at 14) of the rack is movable (e.g. hingeable up and down), so that, by hinging it down, the container is correctly aligned laterally before being picked up.
