摘要
The travelling hoist which may travel along the cantilevered arm of a tower crane has its cable (9) fixed at one end to an anchorage at the outermost tip of the arm. The other end is wound onto a drum (22) at the bottom of the tower, then passes over a pulley (24) at the top. The cable also passes around pulleys at the top of the travelling carriage and around further pulleys on the carriage itself. These include two pulleys (1, 8) at the top, feeding the cable in and out. Just below and parallel, are two return pulleys (3, 4). Between them is a pulley (6) with its spindle at an angle to them. On the carriage itself are two pulleys (2, 3), one each end, with their axes parallel to the direction of travel. Between them, and parallel to them is a further return pulley (7), controlling the height.
