The design and manufacturing technique is for multiple speed polyphase induction motors. The design is based on the selection of a stator core having the required number of winding slots, selection of number of turns and winding configuration and determination of number of turns for each of the number of poles chosen. Each functioning mode is determined by the division of windings in the slots forming several polar groups made up of a given number of concentric windings. The division of windings is altered by changing the pole steps, by changing the number of turns of specific concentric coils in each group and by changing the number of core slots included in each concentric winding for each of the similar polar groups.
