Fixing to U=section with reversed inward flange returns - uses housed nut with grooves for returns both grooves and returns being indented

The rectangular nut (1) is used in fixing to a 'U' section channel (5) with extended halfround internal flange returns (6). The nut has curved bevels on two diagonally opposed ends of its lesser sides to permit its rotation once having been slid into place in the channel, also having two rectangular section head grooves in inset positions parallel to the lesser side. The grooves inverts have a regular longitudinal saw tooth profile, the grooves being engaged by hte identically profiled channel section returns (6). The arrangement prevents the nut from sliding relative to the channel when a connection is made, this latter using bolts (9) which jack the nuts (1) up from the channel web (8).
