Reverse passive haemagglutination test for Neisseria gonorrhoeae - by incubation of cell lysate with particles sensitised with antibodies to Neisseria gonorrhoeae strains

Microorganisms are identified as N. gonorrhoeae by incubating a lysate of the microorganism with a suspension of discrete particles sensitised with antibodies to N. gonorrhoeae strains ATCC 31397, 31398, 31399, 31400, 31401, 31402, 31403, 31404, 31405, 31406 and 31407. Agglutination indicates positive identification. The reagent comprising the above sensitised particles in also claimed. Test gives rapid and reproducible identification of any known N. gonorrhoeae strains and is not subject to false +ve reactions by usual interfering organisms.
