The machine for use in market gardening operations where crops such as tomatoes, melons, strawberries etc. are grown under cover, is a straddle machine with a load carrying platform supported above ground by two front wheels and two rear wheels. Its design is compact and incorporates its own drive. It can be used for transport, crop treatment, unrolling plastics sheet etc., and is motor driven. The drive incorporates a clutch which is operated so that it can be left engaged or disengaged, and a gearbox so that it can be left in a selected gear.
