摘要

In the casting plant, the slab is cooled via water, steam, gas, air, or a mixt. of these substances, while the hot slab is subjected to =1 bending operation. The cooling is controlled so that in the bending regions, the surface temp. of the slab does not fall 1000 degrees C; and outside the bending zone, the surface temp. of the slab is reduced by 10-200 degrees C; esp. 80-120 degrees C in a zone which is ca. 3.5 metres from the tip of the molten core.
