PURPOSE:To curve the surface of worked parts by turning an abrasive wheel arranged opposite to a rotary holder while rotating the rotary holder where the worked parts are fixed, and by moving the rotary holder and abrasive wheel relatively in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Surface housing 4 or worked parts is fixed in a groove made in the external surface of a rotary holder 21 with a low-melting point adhesive. The rotary holder 21 is fitted to a cylindrical grinding machine and rotated as shown by an arrow a3. In front of the rotary holder 21, an abrasive wheel 24 is arranged and rotated as shown by an arrow a4 to grind the surface of the surface housing 4. At this time, the abrasive wheel 24, while moved horizontally as shown by an arrow a5, is sent toward the rotary holder 21, and the surface housing fitted to the rotary holder is each ground in a signal process until a designated size. Then, the rotary holder 21 while the surface housing 4 is fitted is set on a tape lapping device and a lapping tape 20' is wound like a belt to rotate the rotary holder 21, finishing the work.
