Gas user branch line connection has valve - automatically sealing in event of branch leak and independently closable by screw plug

The automatically closing safety valve is intended e.g. for a user connection branch point of a gas supply line to close when a leak occurs in the branch line. It comprises a housing which is fitted on the main line and contains a plug, and a captive closure member (ball) capable of sealing on a seat arranged between the inlet from the main and the outlet to the branch. The plug is arranged such that it can be operated to close the outlet independently from the closure member.
