QUICK DISCONNECT BEARING MOUNTFOR CONSTRUCTION MACHINERYABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A material handling apparatusincludes a base, an upper structure and a bearing for supportingthe upper structure on the base for rotation about an axis. Thebearing transmits radial, axial and moment forces from the upperstructure to the base and has a first race connected to the upperstructure and a second race movable as a unit with the first race.Means are provided for removably connecting as a unit the upperstructure and bearing from the base and comprises a lockingmember, a lug and means for receiving the lug. Either the lug orthe retaining means is fixed to the second race of the bearingand extends downwardly therefrom and the other is fixed to thebed. The retaining means has a pair of retainer portions whichare spaced from each other to closely receive the lug therebetween.The locking member is slidably received in an opening through thelug and is removably received in apertures in the retainingportions. Means are provided for releasably restraining thelocking member from axial movement with respect to the retainerportions.
