The microemulsion consists of: 1) an aqueous medium, 2) a fluorocarbon, 3) a single nonionic fluorinated surfactant, the said surfactant having a cloud temperature at least 5 to 10 DEG C lower than the stability temperature of the microemulsion when the aqueous medium consists of pure water. Application: oxygen transport systems.
