The cooling system has a ring (10) with small holes (10a) fitting over the open end (30) of the cooling water's outlet line (36). An outlet chamber (612) encloses the open end of the outlet line and the ring and collects the outgoing water. A first outlet pipe (712) carries the water from this chamber. A first seal (81) seals between outlet chamber and inlet pipe (1). A second seal (83) seals between outlet chamber and outlet line. A second outlet chamber (63) is connected to the first outlet chamber and has a second outlet pipe (73) and its own seal (84). The advantage lies in using water as coolant in both the stator and the rotor.
