Inside a pipe or duct is an internal flange employed to hold dynamometer rings on which a perforated disk is bolted; and strain gauges are fixed on the dynamometer rings. When a fluid flows through the holes in the disk, the strain gauges are exposed to stress, and are connected in an electronic circuit which includes a display meter. In the pref. device, at least three dynamometer rings are each located on an internal lug forming an integral part of the pipe; and the perforated disk causes a nominal redn. of 5 mb in the pressure of the fluid flowing through the pipe. The electronic circuit pref. includes gauges compensating for the temp. of the fluid and parasitic signals. Used esp. in large dia. ducts employed in nuclear reactors using water, electric power stations, or gas circuits. One example is a duct in the prim. cooling circuit of an integrated nuclear reactor.
