Ultra high speed main track railway points - have layout permitting high speed on one track and lower speed on branch

The railway points allow high speed travel only on the main track, and trains may run at normal speeds onto the branching track. The rail (1) of the original track opposite to the diverging side crosses over into the main track outer rail (3) without interruption. This rail acts in conjunction with a tongue structure (7) for normal speeds. The main track inner rail (4) has a continuous travelling surface formed by a swivelling a laterally movable frog piece (9). The other rail (2) of the original track forms a continuous travelling surface with the inner rail of the main track, and the latter and the inner rail (5) of the branching track are alternately aligned with the original track rail on the diverging side.
