Clamping mechanism for bolts on pressure vessel or boiler - esp. for safe clamping of cover on boiler, includes jack to move coupling sleeves

A bolt is screwed into the flange of a vessel or boiler; and the top end of the bolt is proVided with a pressure transfer plate (I). Above plate (I) are two coupling sleeves located below a protective plate (II). A jack is used to move the coupling sleeves so they either clap or release the bo and a cavity is provided in the top surface of plate (I) below the coupling sleeves. The ring pistons located in ring cylinders are pref. located below plate (I), the lower ring cylinder resting on a clamping ring which surrounds a nut on the bolt. A cover can be securely clamped on a boiler or pressure vessel.
