Lifting fork mechanism to lift bale of hay etc. into hopper - using fluid power cylinders and pivoted links to invert fork for discharge

At ground level the fork has a horizontal platform rigidly fixed to a vertical back plate. Pivoted arms link the back plate to the machine so that the fork can be raised by fluid power cylinders. During lifting, arm restraint reorientates the fork so that the wt. of the bale is progressively transferred to the back plate. At the top of the lift, the back plate is tilted to serve as a chute delivering the bale into the hopper.
