HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CONTROLLING DEVICE FOR VALVE CLEARANCE AUTOMATIC ADJUSTING APPARATUS OF MOVING VALVE SYSTEM IN INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To provide an appropriately controlled valve clearance to be adjusted at all times, by arranging such that light weight air bubbles in oil may be centrally collected in a hydraulic chamber and be released into a relief passage out of an air bubble separating port of reduced diameter, whereby ensuring for a valve clearance adjusting apparatus a steady supply of air bubble-free oil. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic controlling apparatus body 10 to be mounted on a cylinder head H is provided in its inside a tubular hydraulic chamber 14 with its top end tapered. The hydraulic chamber 14 connects a hydraulic passage 16 provided at a basement thereof to a valve clearance automatic adjusting apparatus (not shown). The body 10 also forms a hydraulic passage 20 therein, the passage 20 having its lowe end connected to an oil pump via a hydraulic inlet 22, and its upper end connected to a hydraulic chamber 14 via an oil introducing port 24 of reduced diameter. The port 24 of reduced diameter is opened in the direction of tangent of the hydraulic chamber 14, thereby allowing an oil supplyed to the hydraulic chamber 14 from the port 24 to produce a vortex flow. Consequently, the oil can be moved upwardly while its air bubbles are being centrally collected, and be drained out via a port of reduced diameter and a relief passage 30.
