Apparatus for sampling of liquid when the liquid is being led through a conduit (11), and the object of the invention is to permit taking out one and the same sample quantity for liquid volumes of different size led through the conduit (11), while the sample taken is to be representative of the liquid quantity concerned. This is realized according to the invention in that the conduit (11) has arranged therein a flow meter (9) and/or a positive pump which, in response to each passing volume unit, emits a pulse to a pulse converter (10) which, with the guidance of the intended adjustable amount of liquid, converts in a per se known manner the incoming pulses to a certain number of outgoing pulses of a certain length and/or amplitude which together give the desired total sample quantity, and that the liquid conduit (11) also includes a sampling valve (8) which is controlled by the outgoing pulses of the pulse converter (10) and which opens, in response to each such pulse, for a certain time and/or to a certain extent, a communication (13-16) between the liquid conduit (11) and a sample vessel (17).
