The shoe sole has both forward and backward directed channels for drainage functions, with the wearer's weight pressing out impurities into which he may have stepped. The heel has similar channels which go longitudinally backwards so that the drainage effect starts directly where the heel rear edge is adjacent the ground surface. The rapid drainage effect enables the shoe to grip the ground surface with max. effect.
