Partial phosphoric esters, preparation thereof and use thereof as leather fatliquoring agents, and also formulations containing same

Tanned leathers are fatliquored from an aqueous medium with water-soluble and/ or water-dispersible partial phosphoric esters of polyalkylene glycol monoethers of higher aliphatic fatty alcohols, in the form of the free acids or their alkali metal or ammonium salts and preferably aftertreated with polyvalent metal cations, in particular from the same aqueous medium. If desired, the leathers can be dyed with customary leather dyes before or after the treatment with the fatliquoring agents of the invention or before the aftertreatment with the polyvalent metal cations. The partial phosphoric esters are advantageously used in the form of certain formulations.
