摘要
A rectangular parallelepipedic framework is made up of elements welded together. These elements are sections in the form of equal angles the outer edges of which have flanges set at 90 degrees turned towards each other, the edges of these flanges having a ridge set in the plane of the side of the angle to which the flange is attached. In the 90 degrees angle between the flange and ridge a toric joint is positioned and a panel is attached to each face of the parallelepiped by flexible clips that are supported by the flange and tighten the panel against the toric joint. In the corners of each face where the flanges edges of the sections are not joined a gusset plate is welded in to provide continuity of the support for the rotic joint, and ensure an airtight cell. Most of the panels are simply walls of the cell but at least one panel includes a conditioning block which includes means for circulating the air of the cell over a cooling coil, a heating element, means for renewing the atmos. of the cell, means for supplying a nutritive soln. and collectors sensitive to the atmos. of the chamber. Power and fluid are supplied to the conditioning block by pipes passing through air-tight seals in the panel. Two cells can be joined together by attaching the frames of two faces without panels together by means of an I-shaped support part that encloses the 2 toric joints of the frames and follows the outline of the flanges bordering these faces. Used in the experimental study of the growth of plants and esp. for a phytotron.
