Video graphic system for analysing interface configurations - uses high definition TV camera to obtain image data for analysis in microprocessor

A metallic case sealed against ambient light has a constant internal temp. controlled by a fan and thermostat and a resistive heating element. A sample container contains a solid body and a fluid or two immiscible fluids. A burette can be inserted automatically into the container to form new interface configurations at regular intervals. The container has two parallel glass windows to allow light to pass through from a lamp and filter and a dioptic rectifier. This provides a parallel monochromatic light source which is directed through the sample to a high definition TV camera. A relay allows the camera to be connected to an image monitor and video recorder and to a microprocessor for digital analysis. An electrical generator placed around the sample permits study in a charged or moving condition.
