Lock for spectacle leg - has U=section coupling part of leg with cut=outs for insertable locking plate

The lock (1) is for a spectacle leg to hold it in the open position. It has a U-shaped coupling section of the leg near the lens, with a double locking claw (4,7). There is also a plate (3) which partly closes an opening (2) in the U-section. Each web (2b,2c) of the U-section is lengthened by a fork (4,5) beng in the same direction as the opening in the U. One web (2b) is lengthened by a fork (4) and the other by a hook (7), working with an external tooth (4b,4d) fo the fork. The U section has an opening (8) for a side projection.
