The crusher has hexagonal section internal bars in the crushing space. The power is transmitted through belt and pulleys from an a.c. motor running at 750 rpm. The raw material is passed into the crusher along the axis of rotation, passing through a rotary joint, while the crushed product is also extracted axially through a rotary joint. The hexagonal section bars are mounted around the periphery of cylindrical crushing enclosure to be externally rotated through sixty degrees to compensate for wear. The crushing enclosure is housed in a hermetically sealed casing, through which air is force-circulated by a drum type fan mounted directly on the shaft of the drive motor to cool the crusher.
