Fur-lined windproof clothing for use on sailboards etc. - pref. uses polyurethane coated jersey fabric of polyamide supporting polyamide fur

Clothing for use in a wet environment incorporates a layer of fur and a layer of flexible elastic plastic material to serve as a windbreak comprising or nearer to the exterior surface of the clothing than the layer of fur. Pref. the fur is of polyamide fibres anchored to a jersey fabric also of polyamide and the windproof layer is a coating of polyurethane anchored to the reverse face of the fur backing fabric by local fusion. Esp. suitable for users of sailboards who may be immersed intermittently and then exposed to wind. The hydrophobic fur allows entrained water to drain readily from the clothing. The windproof outer layer inhibits concurrent evaporation due to wind effects and associated cooling of the wearer.
