MONITORING OF WATER SURFACE VIBRATION OF SURGE TANK FOR HYDRAULIC POWER PLANT

PURPOSE:To make a mechanical water level meter unnecessary by a method wherein the output flunctuation of a generator is detected and is compared with a set value, previously obtained by a simulation, to minitor the existence of the overflow of the surge tank. CONSTITUTION:The vibration is detected by a time lapse in order of the upper limit value of A2 the lower limit value of A7 the upper limit value of A14 and, then, the detection is moved to a step F4 to computer a vibration frequency a1. The frequency a1 is decided in the step F5 whether it is within T1 + or -alphasec or not and if it is within the value, the overflow alarming process and the output commanding value locking process of the surge tank are effected in the step F6.
